Our Naturopaths are passionate about integrating scientific research and evidence with time proven naturopathic methods. Most Naturopaths hold a Bachelor of Health Science and study for many years to be able to consult as a Professional Health Practitioner. Our Naturopaths regularly attend seminars and conferences that cover recent advancements in the area of science and clinical naturopathy. This ensures that our team is at the forefront of groundbreaking research and evidence. Our team are passionate about the biomedical approach to healthcare.

I want preventative care, can you help?

The beautiful thing about Naturopathy is that it focuses on optimal health. Our Naturopaths are passionate about prevention. A treatment plan looking into preventative medicine would include: health history analysis, referral for wellness pathology testing, diet diary to assess how we can optimise your nutritional status and tracking of your overall lifestyle to again optimise your health.

What if my health is too complex?

Many clients come to see us when they are very concerned about their health. Complex health conditions is seen very frequently within our clinic. We have one of Australia’s largest Naturopathic teams, the benefit of this means that you gain the knowledge of multiple Practitioners and not just 1. With complex cases (and consent from you) we are able to present your case to our team of Naturopaths in a clinical case conference. In this setting your Naturopath will present your health history, symptoms and clinical health goals. The team brainstorm what has been done and what should be done. In the initial consultation your Naturopath will be able to let you know if they are the best fit for your case or if someone within our clinic or externally to our clinic is the best fit for you, honesty is one of our core values. We truly want you to achieve a good health outcome.

What happens in a Naturopath Consultation?

Naturopaths are trained to uncover the root cause of health concerns. They take the time to understand the complexities of your health as well as your symptoms and the impact these have on your life. Your Naturopath can then assess and implement what is the best treatment path for you, this may include nutritional medicine, supplementation, pathology testing, integrated other Practitioners into your care and lifestyle recommendations.

You will always leave the consultation with a clearly defined, simplified and easy to understand management plan.

What is the difference between supplements prescribed by Integrated Wellness and those from a pharmacy or shops?

Many supplements that are sold in pharmacies and health food stores are not the best quality available. They are often very weak, poorly absorbed or are the wrong form of the nutrient. Supplements prescribed through our clinic are “Practitioner Only” meaning that they are the best quality available. Based on scientific research nutritional reference ranges, many retail nutritional products are not in the right form of the nutrients or at the correct dose to therapeutically provide benefit. Our Naturopaths hold TGA (Australian Government Therapeutics Goods Administration) authority to allow us to prescribe “Practitioner Only” nutritional products, there is strict guidelines regarding provision of prescription of these. These product are very different to retail products. They are generally more absorbable, bioavailable and usually much higher in strength than standard retail products.

What is the difference between a Naturopath and a Medical Doctor?

Naturopaths are trained to use only natural products, lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments to balance health issues. Naturopaths are trained in pathology testing and use minimal invasive treatment plans. Naturopaths are not to take the role of a medical doctor. Our Naturopaths prefer to work in conjunction with your Medical Doctor.
